Hampstead Heath
This is me in 2003 sitting for the first time in over forty years in my other dossing shelter, my favourite one, in Kenwood.  Kenwood is an enclosed part of the Heath, locked after dark, but the railings have since been re-aligned so that the side of the shelter seen here is now accessible from the open part of the Heath.  In my Heath dossing days, the only way to this shelter after dark was to remove a part of the railings and squeeze through the gap.  But then, as now, the place to sleep was on the other side of the double-sided shelter, facing into the wood, and you still need to get through the railings (not visible here) to do that.  No policeman can check that side once the wood is locked for the night.  In my time, no other dossers discovered it, either!
