| Stapylton Field CHEMISTRY PRACTICAL BOOK - 1960s |

This picture of a chemistry practical book, presumably from the early '60s, was kindly sent in by Nigel Wood.
He explains that the words 'Slurry is calcined here' [in parody of a textbook diagram of some industrial process] were written by a tall quiet boy with the surname 'Allen'. He was a Plymouth brother and generally serious of mien, but just occasionally a very nice, quirky sense of humour could shine through.
