My parents, 1952
| This is one of a number of photographs of my parents, my grandmother and myself taken in or around 1952 in the back garden of 110 Normandy Avenue by an unknown photographer and in the same session, judging by the fact that the background is the same in every picture. I have no recollection of the session and didn't find the photos until 2000. The fact that there was no photo of my grandfather among them probably means that they were taken after he died in 1952 when my mother was 42 and my father 48. |
