Celandine / Lesser celandine / Llygad Ebrill / Milfyw / Ranunculus ficaria
Flowers March - May

| Many people feel that Spring has truly sprung when the celandine starts to flower in March. It's abundant in damp, shady places throughout Britain, and can be a persistent weed. I photographed these in Parc Bryn Bach,Blaenau Gwent. The name 'lesser celandine' is to distinguish it from the greater celandine, which is a very different plant and the two are not related. |
